High-Tech Cars now a reality! Get yours from Leggat Auto Group!
Technological innovations seem to be happening at an ever increasing rate. From inserting microchips into our credit cards to scanning barcodes with our smart phones, technological advances are changing our daily lives. Some of the latest technological innovations have come in the form of auto advancements. The futuristic cars we’ve seen in the past in films like Blade Runner and Minority Report are no longer quite so unrealistic. With all the advances being made to cars today, high-tech vehicles are no longer considered science fiction. Park assist, blind-spot detection, and cruise control are just a few examples of these progressive technologies that help drivers be more aware on the road and develop safe driving habits overall. These technological innovations are working “to create intelligent vehicles that interact with each other, their occupants, [and] the physical and virtual worlds surrounding them.”
Many vehicles on the road today already include some of these technological advancements. The all- new 2011 Acura TL, for example, comes equipped with steering wheel-mounted audio controls or voice activated audio controls to eliminate distractions. Similarly, the 2011 Mazda 6 includes heated mirrors to prevent mirrors from fogging up in cold weather. To help the environment, the 2011 Kia Rio features an Eco-Minder indicator, which lights up green when you’re driving at your fuel-efficient best. All of these technologies (and more) have been created to increase drivers’ efficiency.
Want to test drive one of these technologically advanced vehicles? The 2011 Acura TL, the Mazda 6, the Kia Rio and more high-tech vehicles are available at one or more of Leggat Auto Group’s 8 dealerships in Ontario. Billionaire Carves Name in Island, Visible From Space
(Image Source: Google Earth) BY MEGAN NOE You’re watching multisource world video news analysis from Newsy. Talk about making a name for yourself. A billionaire Arab sheikh has had his name carved into the sand of his private island — so big, it’s visible from space. These pictures from Google Earth satellites show the name workmen carved at the request of Sheikh Hamad Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, a member of Abu Dhabi’s ruling family. It’s located on the island Al Futaisi in the United Arab Emirates. The Sun broke the story, explaining just how huge the graffiti is. “The name is two miles across — with letters a kilometre high. It is so huge that the ‘H’, the first ‘A’ and part of the ‘M’ have been made into waterways.” So who has the funds to blow on such extravagance? The Atlantic Wire offers some hints. “The 63-year-old Hamad, it turns out, seems to live by the motto ‘go big or go home.’…Hamad’s Emirates National Auto Museum features a ‘custom-built globe-shaped motor home said to be one-millionth the size of the Earth itself’ and a pyramid housing his vast car collection. And the man nicknamed “Rainbow Sheikh”for his many-colored cars has one more larger-than-life title– he’s built the world’s largest truck. A Forbes blogger offers an answer to the question on everyone’s minds: why? “Why not? Think of it as economic stimulus. It took a lot of imported laborers from the likes of Pakistan and Bangladesh to dig those canals. And for all we know, this could be part of a …

Now everyone is going green. In a town in a developed or developing nation, you will find everyone is talking “green”. Super markets, banks, auto manufacturers – even interior designers – have gone green.
USA is promoting green. This country is becoming eco-friendly in their homes and offices. India has also started moving to green. It has opened an opportunity for interior designers locally and internationally.
I have read many article . According one article written By Wrin Jourdan “Green interior designers create eco-friendly spaces by integrating renewable, recycled, or salvaged building materials and energy-efficient practices into their design plans.” According to him, This could include:
Using non-toxic paints and other design materials that do not contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs). VOCs can cause negative environmental effects, such as ozone layer damage and smog creation.
]]>
Incorporating natural light, low energy appliances, and compact fluorescent light bulbs into the space.
Using items that have little or no impact on the environment, like oxygenating plants or sustainably built furniture.
Green interior design doesn’t just apply to living rooms. Restaurants, health care facilities, hotels, and many other businesses can all benefit from going green. Many businesses are realizing that using green design can actually save money and increase the value of their property.
According to ,McGraw-Hill Construction’s “2009 Green Outlook: Trends Driving Change Report” found that green buildings had 13.6 percent lower operating costs and higher property values – 10.9 percent higher – than their non-green counterparts. Additionally, McGraw-Hill Construction estimated that the green building market would more than double by 2013.
